This is a manifesto! Look at this page. Look at this drawing. Our subject is drawing and promotion of drawing! We want you to see it. We want to look at, locate and map it. Follow one line to the other, walk the paths of the space between. Drawing is mapping. We are mapping a new space. It is a mapping of visual language. It is a mapping of thoughts. It can map the unspeakable and the intangible. Something you just might not know how to put into words. Or maybe you do know how. All drawing is thinking. All drawing is process. All drawing is also FINISHED! Put pen to paper, screen, earth. All drawing can happen. Draw a line. It is happening. WE ARE THE ICELANDIC DRAWING CENTER. Drawing is a noun and a verb, an action and an object, a method and a medium. Drawing is a twofold thing. We platform drawing, the finished, the processing, the digital and analog. The old drawing and new drawing. We want to bring attention and explore the vast potential of drawing. Drawing drawing drawing. We want to talk about it all day. Define and question its limits. We are the place to make demands and discuss. Drawing exists in every space, every time, see it happen in ink, electricity, movement. Draw a line to see it happen. See the line drawn.
